DECEMBER JOURNAL 2023

December rolled in casually, and threw out more than a few surprises. We had a homecoming, seeing my twin brother again after 7 years is and was a true blessing, and a wonderful way to start out birthday month.

I have a history of celebrating the whole month of December, and by the first week, I was over booked, and burning out. I had my work cut out for me.

Art Buddies was wrapping up. I volunteered at two different schools, however the young ladies really did come up with different custumes. The super heroes were developed after weeks of putting together concepts, coming up with the super hero name and super powers. Adding the details to the customes, so that by the end of the season, the students walk their school hallways in a parade. We wave, high fiving the students and staff who came to see us along the way.

It was a great season, the volunteers wrapped up with a cocktail hour. It was a great way to meet other Art Buddies with such an amazing heart for children.

Since there was a Toussaint and Roz holiday show the sane night, a couple of the Art Buddies also attended the 2 day holiday show.

I had such an amazing time, I went both nights, and on Friday stayed almost until close, chatting and having a great time with friends.

Left home, rested, and cleaned at my place. Then I attended a birthday dinner with my sisters and ny niece. It was so beautiful, and just in time for the holidays.

That weekend I cooked a ckicken Tikka Marsala, with rich, sliced cucumber (seasoned) brought sparkling pear juice and red wine. For desert cinnamob roll wrapped pears, resting on a bed of roasted honey pears. My sister Georgia and niece brought some amazing sides, with tastes that perfectly blended with the main entre. Christmas Dinner Success!

After Christmas I went back to my apartment in the city and prepared to end my vacation, to return to work.

At the end of the day, Mom mom told me to gift myself with rest, and that is exactly what the mood has been for the end of December and the first 2 weeks of January.

Well that is all for now, thank you so much for joining me, until next time!
