June is here, and bringing in the sun, and lush plants along with it. The month of June for some is the ending of a season. For graduates, and students who have been awaiting summer.
It’s also wedding season, a time for unions not to mention a season of romance. Whether it’s the romance of slow afternoons, or festivals, there is oppotunity to enjoy one self.

Respect the budget, that’s my advice. Summer gives the allure that you have to go out every weekend. Be mindful of two things money and energy spends equally.
Not to mention time. Spend it wisely, and no when to rest your body and your pockets, at times.

June is also a big birthday month for many incuding family for me, and none other than Prince. Who is and was a sensation his star dust is still sprinkled about the city, and even the world.

Cool new spots Featuring Centro, a new addition to Eat Street, a great place for tacos, burgers, and cocktails, if that fits. Perfect for weekends, or happy hour. If your local, check it out!

More things to do in June, if your in the Twin Cities!
Speaking of events and places, I also look for shows new and old to add as inspiration. This weekend while having brunch with my mom, I realized, out side of writing for UG, I am not performing, I’m not teaching art or showing my work. This is creating sadness for me. It’s up to me to listen to my mother, and not give up on me.

I have been inspired, going back to the classics. I want to share with you one of my favorite cartoons for my childhood. None other then JEM and the Holograms.

I binged watched it again all weekend. It helps me not forget, what I remember. More to come on that.
That’s why I push, not to give up on your dreams, I’m talking to myself too.

Style, decor and fashion, not to mention great food have a major affect on our mental health, and personal narratives. It provides the ambiance to a life that we dream of.
As always, just in time for summer, I have a few ideas. See below

The history of black brown people are not easy to understand. So hidden are the contributions and impact left on history. A people who doesn’t know their history, will not be empowered to invest in their future. A big part of this platform is to unearth the diamond. The diamond shines bright, even hidden. I hope this blog also inspires you to look into the hidden history of the melanated people around the world.

Well for now, I hope you have enjoyed this post. June is far from over. More to come!

This is a wonderful pic Stephanie!
