I was introduced to Res while working at Bloomingdale’s circa 1999. I saw her video, “Golden Boys”, and instantly thought that she had invented another sound. Her voice is indescribably sultry and her presence is magnetic. over the years I have had the pleasure of following her on her journey as an artist on Instagram. She inspires me from her deep skin tone to her rocker b girl style. I do not get the vibe of any other artist when referring to her style I know she is one of kind, and I am glad that I have come across her albums. She is a Philly native, I have a strong affinity for that city and a great deal of artist that come out of Philly. Res is a true original and I simply admire her work. I would like to see her featured in more magazine editorials, or even more music videos. She really is a beauty and I continuously root for her as she does an amazing job defying the law of gravity.
