Sunset Summer embraces the end of summer and spending time with loved ones and staying outside as long as possible.
It is also moving with the idea that budgets and savings are the new black.
Spending money in summer is what it is. It costs to be outside, and spend less weekends, will be in the bed, away from the phone, sleep, as recommended by the Budgetnista.
It is normal to want to escape into 3rd spaces. For me it has been Thai Restaurants and The Greenroom open night in Thursday nights.
Other than that journaling at the Spyhouse cafe, and planning fall goes and wardrobe upgrades in advance.
As I prepare I have been curating the mood and finding inspirations that fit the Sunset Summer theme.
The colors of the sunsets, the walking slow, enjoying the fruits of the season, embracing the good, and praying through the difficult.

August like many months before is coming in with such intensity, in American elections there is so much race baiting, outright hatred and divisiveness that is going around.
Deceptive language, tactics, and the like that just hold black Americans hostage to the media, slow economic responses, poor education and the plight of Black American ignored, while at the same time pandering with destructive imagery that promotes the worst of our community.
All this while Paris, France burns, UK Burns, and other countries who are not bracing for war, are dealing with economic decline and natural disasters, not to leave out Palestine and the fact that they have been bombed for almost a year with no stop by the UN, or anyone else.
Welp, this is the state of the world. The Olympics was so egregious that Olympic athletes had to declare their love for GOD, which was edited out, then they turned to social media.
I talk about GOD because I am grateful for everything that the LORD has granted me with HIS grace and mercy. During this time even for me it takes might to stay motivated and determined. There are things that are just beyond that is trying to pull you down, depress, and suppress, guilt and antagonize one’s spirit, and things are only becoming more intense. Stay under the covering of Jesus Christ, He will comfort and keep you in these tumultuous times
