December Deep Dive in 2023

This December has within it a lot of gold nuggets to glean from, a great deal of perspective to contemplate.

The world events feel like going through shock therapy, I would liken it to the Skinner dog test, when they remove the changes then shocks the dog again, and it refuses to run or do anything other than, continued to be shocked.

Is this us? Are we there?

Passed the belief that human beings should respect life, when governments controls who lives and dies. While people are systemmatically silenced and lulled to sleep by illusions that the problems are in some distant land when it is actually right outside the door.

A twlight zone, if you will where we fake normal daily and wonder why we are so tired.

Not the sparkle of inspiration you were looking for? That’s alright, there is more to the story…

The whole notion of this time reaked with familiarity, a return to nostalgia, a reintroduction of the Victorian age, the age of industrialism, peasantry in Europe that infected the globe with greed, wonton, secret pacts and dishonesty.

Here we are mildy a hundred years later trying to understand where it all started? And when it will end. The unstudied would be surprised to know atrocities are apart of colonial design, not a symptom of it.

I spent this month asking if December is a burn out month. The end of the month were it is easy to be over scheduled, overbooked, careless with things like sleep, diet and movement, because we are a billion places at once and when we finally do sit down we lock ourselves in the prision cell of our thoughts, making a body feel guilty because burn out is on the horizon and simple task seem hard and involved.

Let’s not forget finances, showing love with how much money we spend only to go into the New Year broke and humbled by life.

The routine is taxing and needs a ovehaul.

One thing to do spend time with God, in uncertain tine His Word is certain and have outlasted Pharoahs, Ceasars, Kings and Queens, believe God for his mercy and blessings through Christ brings victory and salvation.

Downsize, try not to over consume anything be it media, food, alcohol, whatever it is, have moderation and respect yourself.

Read a book, social media is leaving less and less to the imagination. Escape to other worlds, other galaxies, mind meld with a great author through the connecting power of words.

Walk through nature, hug a tree, pick up a rock and let adventure take you. Talk about main character energy, go observe the life around you, connect in more ways than one by experiencing the majesty of God outside.

Declutter your space and create a bit of ambiance. Organize and clean your life, set up cozy spaces in your place to journal, draw, pray or just talk to God about His plan for your life.

Menu, create simple menu’s stick to a food budget, increase your culinary creativity by investing in staples, and buying fruits and veggies either frozen or in season to save the cash.

Make homeade DIY gifts, it is truly the thought that counts. Pinterest ideas, do mugs with chocalate in it, scented candles, socks, scarves, bags of sweet, seasoning sets, show love by way of being both considerate and practical.

Holidays are about family and friends, if you can show up, show love and stay consistent. People get sad around the holiday and visitors can bring cheer. Have boundaries though, commit to time, prioritize your body, if you feel tired, it’s time to go and the party is over, face it.

Try bringing a treat or snack when visiting family, be intentional, and learn something new about your family, sharing is caring and it is worth it.

It is so easy to overwhelmed and exhausted this season, even though it has been unseasonably warm this December, there still has been transitions at every turn.

Remember give yourself grace this season, and stay prayed up. Until next time!

Switch it up, and change it around!

See visions below. Stay conscious!

Until next time!
