November Journal

November started off with a shuffling of the budget, and planning for 2 events. It was about Art Buddies, Performance Reviews, a change in weather, and with that came marking the accomplishments for the year. All the mountains that has been climbed, victories, but also the challenges and the “will I learn my lesson?” Moments.

Still standing by the grace of GOD. With that all being said I am in preperation for my birthday Month. The sparkling and bedazzling December, the hard one moment of celebration is upon us.

Last weekend I chilled at home and did some light cleaning and posted the October Journal 2023.

This weekend was scheduled busier, as I had plans to spend the night and chill with my Mom. Put up lights and plastic her windows, and have brunch…Just to chill a few hours before the Art Buddies Gala, and the Toussaint Morrison Album release show.

The A Mill Artist Loft in Celebration of Art Buddies.

This may have been my first year as a art buddies, but to date the organization itself has been going on for almost 30 years, next year. For all the adults that contribute their time and genius to helping a students concept of a superhero come to life, is stunning.

The process of bringing a drawing to life is both a brilliant and beautiful one. The gala was catered with plenty of wine and yummies, I purchased 2 art pieces which I had to bring to the Toussaint Morrison album release show at the Green Room uptown, owned by a musician so it made the experiences on levels. Tbe accompany artist were unique, and it was great to see such innovative bands with an incredible sense of polish. Who I came to see…

Toussaint Morrison the renaissance man of the hour, truly what can’t this man do. I just watched him co host the Art Buddies event in a addition to all the things he happens to accomplish in one day is amazing.

It’s late and after my very full week, I could use a day off to sleep and such. However this night really belongs to Toussaint, the man of the hour.

Me, I have been inspired over the years by his wortk ethic, consistency, and passion. It’s endearing.

November ended with a lovely sentiment and a changing of the guard.

The whole experience of November 2023 was from jump street being worth one’s wait for it. Was the bringing value conversation.

Also I was able to support and purchase pieces of art this month from wonderful artist, including the Black Brewers event at 56 Brewing.

I try real hard to keep the art conversation going, and man it pays off in spades.
