Fall Extravaganza 2023 πŸ’πŸβ˜•οΈπŸŒ…

This Fall season is all about the pivot, here in the Twin Cities we go from hot to chilly wind in an instant. All of a sudden we shift to jackets, boots, over tanks and sandals. We go from lemonade to hot drinks, from light meals, to heavier hot dishes. The Decor also changes, and Fall inspired colors, invest in lights for the darker shorter days to come.

With this in mind the Fall Extravaganza is all about celebrating the changing of the guard while preparing mentally and emotionally for the changes to come, or in some cases the changes that are already here.

For me that means slowing all the down, and re-assessing that old budget, having over-spent in September out and about and trying to do the most, I was very much humbled by the first week of October, I had the smallest budget to work with and with inflation outside cost $100. As a blogger who pays myself, it has been a challenge to do the things, and still have money to actually live on, so we continue to pivot.

The conversations inspired is one of authenticity and caring, as we go into the season where it becomes harder for most to get through due to the days getting darker as the colder months approach, the homeless, those in domestic violence situations that will find it harder to “find somewhere to be”, the children and school lunches, or even school clothes, our elders that need us to visit them more, simply put our communities outside of our cellphones that need our help. As a new cat mom, as I started as a plant mom, also our pets and plants that need care, all are important to stay healthy, so if you can I encourage you to be the change, and the sun in someone’s day.

Projects!

If one has shelved themselves, waiting to get back to that project, it will now be a great time to pull those projects out and make progress in getting the job done. Personally, outside of blogging I am an actual artist and poet, but I have not been working on my work. I always know I have the option to post my work online, but again, it does not stop me from falling into procrastination, with the season change, I hope to fall back into my artistic side.

Well let’s get into it shall we, the food, decor and style inspiration for the season!

First up on the list is food of course, whether it is a savory mushroom and spinach dish, or confit with garlic rosemary and olive oil, this Fall your taste bud can be most inspired by both savory and sweet dishes, cinnamon rolls, and apple anything, baking in generally provides a cozy atmosphere. I encourage you to find a recipe, and make it, impress yourself, and remember food is medicine!β˜•

I am going to depart from the list and say, I want to dance! This Fall I will find a Salsa and Reggae, and AfroBeats spot to shake a tail feather, to keep those endorphins up as the season shifts....What will you do to keep your momentum going?

Health is Wealth!

Moda!

Next up, The Style Top Looks of The Season…

Well tulle, is always a great idea, for the sway, beauty and drama, not to mention how chic it really is, a definite head turner.

We all know jackets become a thing as the weather changes, but bringing back the studded brooch look from the 90’s, is on my list of things to do, it will always be a way to display a traditional look, in an edgy way.

So Janet Jackson in the 80’s had a whole vibe, her looks were chic, rock inspired, with a whole lot of that Ms. Jackson sophistication, I am here for it, why change a good thing?

EeGraphic sweaters, or sweaters with pencil skirts, bring flava to the room. Ripped jeans and a button up clash wonderfully with the model off duty look. The full sweater, that can double as a blanket is perfect for office, or errand days. Pleather pants with a bit of stretch are great for attending events late at night, concerts, a smart and chic look, where a lady can still look and feel like a lady. If you can not tell, my blog is to inspire the lady, and inform the gentleman. Lastly, houndstooth print with a graphic t-shirt, let’s go there, I love it!

October is one of my favorite months, so this song is fitting, watch out for that sax though, it can make some really high screaming pitches.

Decor!!!

I have been working on my plantopia for a few years now, something about nurturing and loving plants is just inside me, I got it from my grandmother, then my mother and sister Tiffany, so I guess I am walking in the tradition. Also solariums, French salons, and the old world decor inspires me, it is not only made well, it has the most spectacular design.

Also remember…

Kindness means seeing the heart of the matter, listening to the silence behind the words, while using wisdom to see the need, without being distracted by the presentation. Spread love, live in gratitude, and keep your peace.

May God Bless and Keep you all! Until next time!
